When we moved to the United States, everything was new, and very different from what we knew. Language, customs, cultural and social differences, legal matters... just to name a few.

 

When we decided to buy a house after being here only for 6 months, it seemed like an almost impossible task. We did not have the required credit history, nor any knowledge of the house buying or selling business, nor knowledge of the 'lingo' used there. ESCROW was nothing more than a scary word, like many others.

 

We first went with a different realtor, and our experience was not pleasant. We almost gave up on buying, when I decided to try one more time. That was when I met you, walking into your office and banging all my demands at your head. You were able to gilJe me confidence by acting professionall"y, being available, and pointing out risks and benefits. You explained the procedure and contraci's to the point, and always were patient when I read passages over and over again before I .~igned my name.

 

Since buying a home went so well with you, we decided to work with you on the sale of our home when the time came. I cannot thank you enough for everything you did, especially the things you were not required to, but nevertheless did. I am talking about the vJindow bolts, that you organized although the manufacturer was no longer in business, as well as taking care of a window replacement by finding vendors and getting cosio estimates.

I want to thank you very much for helping me to sell my condo at a time when a booming sellers market was rapidly coming to an end.  You kept your eye warily on the comps and advised me on pricing in a way that I’m convinced we got the best price possible.  In the give and take early on with the buyer, you represented my interests well in not only getting into escrow, but also not allowing it to fall out. In the course of four counter offers your experience and savvy allowed us to achieve the pricing goal we had envisioned. When I wanted to have an extended escrow, you rightly advised that I shorten it as much as possible to minimize any problems with the buyer.  You have a very friendly and engaging manner and exude a confidence that gave me a peace that my business was being handled in the best way possible.  That confidence was backed up by excellent handling of all the paper work and monitoring escrow and the buyer’s activities in securing a loan.  Again, thank you and know that I will continue to recommend you to all my friends.

Dear Mr. Marmion:

 

I wanted to take a few moments to briefly recount our recent, extremely positive, real estate experience with Bob Sievers.  We started working with Bob around the middle of the year when we decided to try to sell our home and move into slightly bigger quarters to better accommodate our family.  From the beginning Bob was always extremely helpful and cordial, even when we experienced various levels of frustration related to prospective buyers for our home and potential homes to buy.  He must have shown us 50 homes if he showed us one.  Bob was always very patient and encouraging, and never tried to force us into a situation that would compromise us or that we weren’t enthusiastic about.  In fact, he was on occasion more conservative than us, always wanting to protect our interests.

 

When we finally did find a buyer for our home and a new place to purchase, it ended up being a very complex deal, with four parties involved (the folks we were buying from, us, our buyer, and our buyer’s buyer).  Needless to say, timing and timeliness were of the essence to succesfully coordinate the three sales/purchases, and Bob shone brightest among all the parties in terms of his persistence and level of service to ensure everything was done.  At the very end of the process, his planning and preparation allowed for what all the others said was impossible – the consecutive escrow closing and deed recording for all three properties on a single day.

 

In closing, I not only feel that Bob has provided great service to us as a client, but I consider him a friend – someone I would unreservedly refer my friend and colleagues to for assistance in any real estate transaction.  Your organization is extremely blessed to have Bob a team member.
